Chat Navigator ("we", "our", or "the Extension") is a Chrome Extension designed to summarize and navigate ChatGPT conversations. We prioritize your privacy and have designed the Extension to operate primarily on your device.

## 2. Data Collection and Usage

### 2.1. Chat Content

- **Collection:** The Extension reads the text of the chat conversations you view on `chatgpt.com`, `chat.openai.com`, or `chat.com` _only_ when you explicitly interact with the Extension (e.g., by clicking "Generate Outline").
- **Usage:** This text is sent directly from your browser to the OpenAI API (`api.openai.com`) for the sole purpose of generating summaries and outlines.
- **Storage:** We do not store your chat content on our servers. The generated outlines and notes are stored locally on your device using Chrome's `storage.local` API.

### 2.2. API Keys

- **Collection:** You provide your OpenAI API Key to the Extension.
- **Storage:** Your API Key is stored locally on your device using Chrome's `storage.local` API.
- **Usage:** It is used solely to authenticate requests to the OpenAI API on your behalf. We do not have access to your API Key.

### 2.3. Usage Data & Error Logs

- **Collection:** We use Sentry to collect error logs and basic usage data (e.g., performance metrics) to help us improve the Extension.
- **Storage:** This data is stored on Sentry's servers.
- **Anonymity:** We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) in these logs. We explicitly strip console logs in production builds to prevent accidental data leakage.

## 3. Third-Party Services

### 3.1. OpenAI

### 3.2. Sentry

- Your data (API key, outlines, notes) is stored locally in your browser.
- Communication with OpenAI occurs over a secure, encrypted connection (HTTPS).
